About the Team

We are developing Flowpilot.one, a conversational AI-based website builder for WordPress that enables anyone to create a professional site through natural dialogue - launching globally across our brands. In parallel, we build and maintain WP.one, a powerful managed WordPress hosting platform designed for agencies and developers. Our team currently includes four local engineers (growing to eight), a Support Engineer in Finland, UI and UX designers based in Copenhagen, and QA support from India - all collaborating tightly to deliver high-quality, scalable products that redefine how websites are created and managed.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Backend Engineer who has knowledge of Python, Typescript, and with a focus on AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and on building Agentic AI systems. As an AI Engineer, you would work on projects which combine conversational AI into website generation, editing and integrations to internal and external systems/plugins. You also get to experiment and increase your knowledge by building AI solutions for different purposes defined by the team.

This is a remote position, with travel to Finland required approximately once every 1–2 months.

What You’ll Do

• Build and evolve our AI-powered backend systems that connect conversational AI with website generation, editing, and plugin integrations.

• Design and implement Agentic AI systems using mainly Python, but also NodeJS/TypeScript

• Integrate with LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain) to enable intelligent and context-aware automation across our platform.

• Integrate AI Agents to interact with the WordPress ecosystem, internal systems, and third-party APIs (e.g. MCP), ensuring reliability and performance at scale.

• Collaborate closely with the team to deliver smooth, human-like user experiences through seamless backend logic.

• Continuously improve performance, observability, and security, leveraging monitoring tools and best DevOps practices.

• Experiment, prototype, and learn — from exploring new AI frameworks to testing emerging backend technologies.

• Contribute to our engineering culture, sharing insights, best practices, and ideas that push our technical boundaries forward.

You have hands-on experience working with agentic AI systems — from prototyping to development to deployment and ongoing maintenance. You’re deeply curious and driven to stay ahead of the curve, continuously exploring new frameworks, models, and techniques in the rapidly evolving AI landscape. You thrive on learning, experimenting, and turning innovative ideas into reliable, real-world systems.

You might be a good fit if you

• You have built Agentic AI Systems

• You have solid foundational coding skills in Python and are familiar with TypeScript/NodeJS

• You’re familiar with vector databases (e.g. pgvector, Weaviate, ChromaDB).

• You have an understanding of AI/ML systems and their capabilities and potential integrations.

• You’re curious about Agentic AI, ML algorithms, and asynchronous programming.
