What will you be doing?

As an AI Engineer within our Intelligent Experience team, you will be the one who converts Proof of Concepts into scalable software and bridges the gap between customer needs and software architecture. You will:

• Transform ideas into scalable and secure production code with a focus on stability and performance

• Translate stakeholder needs into concrete and functional software requirements

• Design and build enterprise-grade PHP and Python (micro)services and AI-integrated applications

• Professionalise Proof of Concepts (PoCs) by implementing testing, observability, logging, monitoring, and CI/CD practices

• Be interested in modern AI techniques, such as RAG systems, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning

• Work closely with AI Process Developers to connect Agentic AI-driven systems to the software you write

• Ensure code quality and security by applying best practices and modern software patterns

• Actively contributes to technical decisions, architecture choices, and roadmap development

• Supports junior engineers with substantive guidance and knowledge sharing within the team

• Monitors developments in the AI landscape and experiments with new techniques, frameworks, and tools

Who are we looking for?

• At least 5 years of (professional) experience with PHP and/or Python software engineering

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable production applications

• Experience developing microservices and modern software architectures

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and preferably MLOps principles

• Knowledge of or interest in frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Neuron AI, or similar tools

• Hands-on experience with Symfony and/or FastAPI is a plus

• You are fluent in Dutch (required) and English, both orally and in writing

• The drive to share knowledge, take ownership, and contribute to a growing AI product line
