Head of Corporate Communications
We are excited to find a communications leader who can drive strategic initiatives, foster internal engagement, and strengthen our brand's presence across all key external audiences.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Communications to lead both internal and external communications for group.one, a portfolio of brands specialising in web hosting, website building, and domain name registration. This is a high-impact role within a private equity-backed environment, growing both organically and with M&A, where we focus on helping small businesses succeed online. We are seeking an individual who can operate strategically with executive stakeholders and lead tactical execution across multiple communication channels.
The Head of Communications will work closely with the C Suite to develop and implement communication strategies targeting investors, talent, partners, potential acquisition targets, and media. In addition, this role will collaborate with HR and other key functions to lead the internal communications strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across the organization. A Communications Manager will report to this position to focus on internal communications, complementing the Head of Communications’ broader scope of responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with strategic thinking as they are with hands-on execution, and capable of managing both high-level corporate messaging and day-to-day communication activities that drive employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Investor Relations: Craft transparent messaging for investors, working closely with the CEO and CFO on reports, presentations, and updates.
- Media & PR: Enhance brand visibility through media strategies, thought leadership, and crisis communication. Manage press releases, corporate social media, and major announcements.
- Employee Engagement: Develop internal communication strategies that inspire, inform, and align employees. Oversee execution and performance on relevant channels.
- Leadership Communications: Partner with HR and executives to ensure clear, engaging communication at all levels.
- Crisis: Lead communications during key company transitions or challenges, including coaching and supporting leaders.
- Content Creation: Oversee the development of corporate materials, presentations, speeches, and reports.
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze media coverage, LinkedIn growth, employer brand perception, and employee feedback.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing both internal and external communications for a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. Experience working in private equity-owned companies or other environments that emphasize shareholder value is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated success in media relations, investor relations, and strategic corporate messaging in an international environment.
